01Why it matters
Cover lapses because dates get missed.
Almost nobody decides to drive uninsured. They just did not get reminded in time, or renewed without reading what they were renewing.

Lapses happen by accident, not decision
Renewal dates arrive during busy weeks and get missed. A break in cover is almost never a choice — it is a date nobody was reminded of.
A lapse costs more than the gap
Driving uninsured carries its own consequences, and a break in continuity can affect what you have accumulated on the policy.
Most people renew without reading
Cover gets rolled over unchanged for years while the car's value and how you use it both move. Renewal is the natural moment to look.
02Outcomes
What you get from it.
You are reminded in time
Expiry captured and flagged before it becomes urgent, so renewal is a decision rather than a scramble.
Your existing policy reviewed
What you currently hold, read properly — cover, deductibles and add-ons — before anything is renewed.
Terms explained in plain language
IDV, no-claim bonus, deductibles and add-ons explained so the choice is actually yours to make.
Coordination handled
The back-and-forth of renewal and document confirmation handled where we are able to assist.
03Scope
What we assist with, and what sits with the insurer.
We assist with renewal. We do not underwrite, issue or price policies — that distinction is worth being plain about.
What the service covers
- Capturing your policy expiry date and reminding you ahead of it
- Reviewing the policy you currently hold
- Explaining IDV, deductibles, no-claim bonus and common add-ons
- Discussing available options, where permissions and insurer availability allow
- Coordinating the renewal process once you have decided
- Confirming the renewed policy documents have been issued
What it does not cover
- Underwriting, issuing or pricing any policy — insurers do that, not us
- Any guarantee that a particular insurer, product or premium will be available
- Any promise about future claim outcomes on the policy you renew
- Advice presented as a recommendation to buy a specific financial product
04Process
How the assistance runs.
Seven stages, from capturing the date to confirming the documents were issued.
Expiry capture
We record when your current policy runs out, so the date is held somewhere other than your memory.
Reminder
You are contacted ahead of expiry with enough time to review properly rather than renew under pressure.
Policy review
Your existing cover is read through with you — what it includes, what it excludes and where it may no longer fit.
Options and quote
Available options are discussed, subject to insurer availability and the permissions that apply. Nothing is presented as the only choice.
Your decision
You decide what to renew and on what terms. Nothing proceeds without your explicit approval.
Renewal
The renewal is coordinated so cover continues without a gap between the old policy and the new one.
Policy confirmation
We confirm the renewed documents have been issued, so you are not left assuming it went through.
05In practice
How it works day to day.

06Good to know
The terms worth understanding.
Four things that change what a policy is actually worth to you.
IDV is what your car is insured for
Insured Declared Value sets the maximum payable if the vehicle is written off or stolen. Setting it too low to reduce premium reduces what you can recover.
No-claim bonus is worth protecting
Claim-free years accumulate a discount. It is often why a small claim is not worth making, and why a lapse in cover can be expensive.
Add-ons are not all equally useful
Which are worth having depends on your car's age, value and how you use it. Availability differs by insurer and product.
A break in insurance has consequences
Beyond driving uninsured, a gap can affect continuity benefits. Renewing before expiry avoids the question entirely.
07Honest limits
What we can do, and what we cannot.
Availability, premium and acceptance rest with the insurer, not with us.
What we can do
Remind you before expiry, review the policy you hold, explain the terms in plain language, and coordinate the renewal once you decide.
What we cannot do
We do not underwrite, issue or price policies. Availability, premium and acceptance rest with the insurer.
Options depend on availability
What can be discussed depends on insurer availability and the permissions that apply at the time. We will be straightforward about what is and is not open to you.
The decision is yours
We explain the terms so you can weigh them. Nothing is renewed, changed or committed without your approval.
08Coverage
Options, as light or as full as you want.
Including simply being reminded, with no obligation to renew through us.
09Questions
What owners ask before committing.
Comfortably before expiry — enough time to actually read the policy rather than renew under time pressure. If we have your expiry date, you will hear from us ahead of it.
Driving without valid cover carries its own consequences, and a break in continuity can affect benefits you have built up. Renewing before expiry avoids both.
Insured Declared Value is the maximum payable if your car is written off or stolen. Lowering it reduces your premium and also reduces what you could recover — worth deciding deliberately rather than by default.
Claiming typically affects accumulated no-claim benefit, which is why small claims are not always worth making. The specifics sit in your policy terms, and we will point you to them.
We assist with renewal — reminders, reviewing your existing policy, explaining terms and coordinating the process. Insurers underwrite, issue and price policies. What options can be discussed depends on availability and applicable permissions.
That depends on your car's age and value and how you use it, and availability varies by insurer and product. We will explain what the common ones do so the choice is an informed one.
Usually your existing policy, registration details and the vehicle's current condition information. The exact list is set by the insurer, and we will tell you what is being asked for.
